A Happy Dance?

I think I am happy...I have been quietly reading what I want to read...finally...and it feels so awesome. Oh...I am reading review books but I am not making myself feel pressure. So...as I thought before...the problem was always me...my perfectionism...my competition with myself...to do everything!

Not over it but I am working on it! It helps to give myself short breaks...with cookies!

Finished this...really good!

Reading this...

Eating a chewy yummy homemade oatmeal cookie!

Just got my nails done...neutral!

Happy Friday!

  1. Love neutral nails.

I am about to head out to lunch with my co-workers but it's cold! Under 40 and windy which makes it feel like 35.

  3. Have a fun weekend, Patty! We had a snow day, so we made chocolate chip oatmeal cookies today, too. :)

  7. Reading is often the tasty cookie of the day. I'm presently in the middle of Benjamin Saenz's Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. May your reading be grand & your food be brown.

  8. cookies and books is the best combination ever! I've tried many times to get books and ice cream to work in tandem, but it's so much harder...And Oatmeal cookies are, of course, healthy.

  9. Happy day. I love it. I had a very happy day too and now I'm off to cozy in my chair with a book and a pot of lavendar chamomile tea.

  11. Reading what you want to read is THE BEST--I've been slacking a bit lately on books I'm "supposed to" be reading, but I'll get them read in time and it feels SO good to read something just for fun! Enjoy it :)

  12. I heard yesterday that the best way to get past that perfectionism is to embrace that we - each of us - is perfectly IMPERFECT. No one is perfect, and we have to stop wasting time trying to be something impossible and allow ourselves to find the sweet spot of being our authentic selves.
Thanks for this post, and for being part of the 2013 comment challenge!
    best,
