Of Course It's About Books...Especially On A Rainy Sunday!!!

Finished this...flawed dysfunctional characters...an intense serial killer or two...and lost girls...really really good...my first book by this author but not my last.

Just started this...from Random House Children's via NetGalley...already good...love dysfunctional YA characters...

Redesigned family room mantel...can you tell what's missing? Don't mind the cozy throw over someone's legs...it's chilly, rainy and foggy today...

Happy Sunday!

A Very Busy Saturday!!!

Oh my goodness...I love to change things around the house to fit in with the seasons...

This requires way too many bins and way to much moving around but it freshens things up and gives us new treasures to look at...I have forever collected watermelons...no clue why other than just loving them.

Here is the Spring Going Into Summer fireplace...

And here is the Spring Going Into Summer pie safe...the painting is one that my parents bought for me...and it is my beloved Maine...a lovely red boat in the harbor.
The jar holds precious seashells.

And I am just starting!!!

Happy Saturday!!!

I Say Why Not!

See this?

I want it under my deck...

Well...not the table but the lights!

Our under the deck looks just like this...Den does not believe that our under the deck should be lit...it is a topic that is still...under discussion...lol...

We will discuss...take a vote...and Lucy will cast the tie breaker vote...she has already been bribed! With catnip filled kitty cassette tapes!

Off to get my purple nails!!!

Reading this... A very British mystery on a foggy day? Perfection!!!

Happy Friday!

I Did It! Yes...I Did!

I finished both of these books...with room to spare!!!
I made a huge dent in my Amazon Vine pile!!!
It helped that both books were juicy and easy to read. One scarily dystopian and based on an Edgar Allen Poe tale...the other a small town delightful pleasure...reviews are done and in!!!

It helped that Den was away...it helped that the weather was not that great...it helped that I am organized to a fault. My reward is a manicure tomorrow. I want deep purple nails.

I really do!

PLUS...I am well ahead of my 3 o'clock deadline. Starting this now...

Read on!!!

Hey...am I in my own little readathon?

School Days...Lots Of Required Reading!!

Love this book...getting used to the narrators...who are a mother and daughter who were hurt in a school fire...this book was a little trying in the beginning because Gracie and her daughter Jenny are sort of out of their bodies and are able to talk to each other and follow people around the hospital as they try to determine who set the school fire...if it was set.
To add to the drama they are both seriously injured. There are lots of great puzzling parts of this book that are making me change my mind about the characters as I read but I don't mind that at all...so pretty much all of my predictions so far are totally wrong...
I plan to finish this today simply because I can't stand not knowing the outcome.

I will be reading this very shortly...thank you, Jennifer!
Thank you, Hannah from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt!!!
Via NetGalley, of course...
But thanks to Hannah I will have a hard copy to giveaway...soon...
This book has the private school secret society thing going on that I adore.

I can't wait!!!

Have you heard about this one? It's sort of based on the fact that every five years Harvard grads fill out a " red book " which I think sums up what they have been doing for the past five years...this is one of those special books highlighting four very different women who were at school together. They reconnect at their twenty year reunion...sounds delicious to me.

So...are you reading any school books soon?

What I Will Be Reading Some Day Soon...

This...from Knopf via NetGalley.

This...from Knopf via NetGalley.

This...from Open Road via NetGalley.

This...from Knopf via NetGalley.

This lovely YA dystopian gem...the first one scared me to pieces...but I am amped and ready for this one...from Tanglewood Press via NetGalley.

Right now? Really into this...I read everything this author writes...it's unbearably lovely...and sad and haunting...a fire at an English primary school...a mother and daughter badly injured...out of body narrations...it is beautiful. This was from Crown Publishing via NetGalley.

Thank you so much NetGalley...I would rather read on my ipad2 than on anything else...if I get lucky the egalley has real swishy page turning!!!

What is on your reading agenda this week?
