Where Has This Week Gone?

I am not sure.  It seems as though we have slipped from lazy summer days to crisp fast fall ones.
Is it because the days are shorter and it gets darker sooner?
Am I being cheated out of precious daylight?
I just finished reading Lisa McMann's
Cryer's Cross.
It was intense and gripping.
Scary, too.
I was just sent all of Louise Gaylord's mysteries. Thank you Sami and Ellen.
Yummy cozy mysteries.
I can't wait to read them.
I am reading a book about dragons right now.

It is really good...a boy turns into a dragon...bit by bit...
Fire and everything.
Mean parents.
Really good stuff.
Oh...and my bread?
It was so delicious.
Easy and fun and very doable...even if you have a fear of yeast!!!
I put Lucy in her stroller and we went for a long walk this afternoon.
Get this...we were both wearing oversized gray hoodies.
Hoods were up...of course.
So now I feel as though we are all caught up...
It's Friday night almost.
I do not make dinner on Friday night.
I do not think about dinner on Friday night.
So I am not sure if there will be dinner this Friday night.
Sushi or some other carry in...but Den and I have both had a craving for Sloppy Joe's...the kind our moms always made.
The real homemade kind that you got to eat when you were little made with Hunt's Manwich and soft buns and Tater Tots...
Friday night comfort food.
Are you settled in for the night?
I hope we are.

  1. I think the days are really flying past, too. Just a couple of minutes ago (it seems!), it was Monday. Now another weekend.

Soon comes Thanksgiving...and then Christmas...and then Tax Time. Yikes!

  2. Cryer's Cross has a cool cover and Dragon Night sounds interesting.

I do not like these dark evenings- it gets dark way to soon and then I find I lose my motivation to do anything other than curl up on the couch to read or watch a movie. :) I do love all the fall and winter holidays, though!
