Dream Weavers...

I woke up today crying.  I had a dream in the early morning that I talked to my mom.  This dream was so true and so real that I truly believe I was crying as I slept.  I woke up to Lucy staring at my face and gingerly touching it.  This dream was so vivid...I dreamed that I was in my parents house and I was cleaning it out with my brothers and sister.   I was alone in my parents room when the phone rang.  I answered sort of annoyed and I heard the voice of my mother.  I have been worrying for the longest time that I would forget what her voice sounded like and her voice was always so soft and lovely.  My mom's voice on the other end of the phone was her voice when she was strong and healthy and she said this...Patty, this is Mom...do you know where I am?   And I hesitated in my dream and said...Yes, Mom...I do...I think you are in heaven.  Then she laughed softly and said this...I thought so.   I asked her where my dad was and she answered that he was there too and that he was strong and healthy the way he used to be.  Then I asked her if she could call me again and she said that she couldn't...she told me to tell my brother John that he was doing a fine job and she was proud of him...and then I told her to tell my dad hello and then we said good bye.  And then I woke up remembering how my mom sounded when she was healthy and happy and here.

  1. That's a really beautiful dream, if you ask me, Patty.

I rarely dream, but I have had the same type of thing that went on when my grandmother passed away.

I had a dream where she visited my bedside when I was 8 years old. (She had passed away when I was 4 or 5.) I remembered her voice and how she touched my head. I still remember it now and it almost scares me. Was it really a dream? I would never know.

    Awesome post and write on!
